FuelSnap Marketplace Terms

These FuelSnap Marketplace Terms govern your use of and any purchases that you make through the FuelSnap Marketplace service available through the Website, and any related mobile applications. These FuelSnap Marketplace Terms are incorporated in and supplement the Terms of Use. All capitalized terms not expressly defined in the FuelSnap Marketplace Terms shall have the meanings given to them in the Terms of Use.

These Terms of Sale contain very important information regarding your rights and obligations, as well as conditions, limitations, and exclusions that might apply to you. Please read it carefully.

Please read the FuelSnap Marketplace Terms carefully before you start to use or make any purchases through the FuelSnap Marketplace. By using or making any purchases through the FuelSnap Marketplace, you are agreeing to the FuelSnap Marketplace Terms and our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

FuelSnap Marketplace

Connected Consumer Fuel, LLC (“CCF”) provides the FuelSnap Marketplace to allow you to purchase home heating oil (“Product”) directly from participating providers (“Dealers”) of home heating oil. When you make a purchase through the FuelSnap Marketplace, you are purchasing the Product from a Dealer and not from CCF. CCF is not the merchant of record and the actual contract for sale is directly between you and the seller. Except for the purpose of facilitating the processing of credit card payments by buyers to Dealers for purchased products, you agree that CCF is not an agent for you or for any Dealer and has no authority to act on your or on a Dealer’s behalf.

We are not responsible for examining or evaluating, and we do not warrant, any Product offerings of any Dealers. CCF does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, product, and content of all these Dealers and any other third parties. You should carefully review their privacy statements, selling policies, and other conditions of use.

Registration and Account Information

To use the FuelSnap Marketplace you must register for an account (“Account”) and provide an email address and password. By establishing an Account with CCF or by making a purchase through the FuelSnap Marketplace, you grant permission for CCF to contact you at your e-mail address and send you marketing emails related to the Marketplace, our affiliates, and our business partners. You can opt-out of receiving our marketing emails following the opt-out procedures set forth in such marketing emails.

Marketplace Use

CCF may exclude any buyer, including you, from making purchases in the FuelSnap Marketplace at any time and for any reason. Resellers may not purchase Products in the FuelSnap Marketplace and CCF reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel such purchase.

Product Information

Any information about and descriptions of Products for purchase from Dealers through the FuelSnap Marketplace (“Product Information”) may be based on information provided to CCF by Dealers. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of this information. There may be information accessible through the FuelSnap Marketplace that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, omissions, and other types of errors, including, without limitation, errors that relate to descriptions of Products, pricing, promotions, offers, minimum order amounts, delivery times, and Product availability. Any reliance you place on such information is strictly at your own risk. We disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such materials by you or any other user of the Services, or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents.

Conditions of Sale and Payment

Prior to the purchase of any Products in the FuelSnap Marketplace, you must provide us with a valid credit card number and associated payment information, including all of the following: (i) your name as it appears on the card, (ii) your credit card number, (iii) the date of expiration, (iv) any activation numbers or codes needed to charge your card, (v) your credit card billing address, and (vi) your contact phone number. By submitting that information to us, you hereby agree that you authorize us to charge your card at our convenience but within seven (7) days of credit card authorization. All sales of products and services are final. All charges from those sales are nonrefundable.

All payments must be made by major credit card (e.g., VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover Network). Some Dealers might not accept certain major credit cards. You will be informed at checkout if a dealer does not accept a particular credit card you are trying to use. IN FACILITATING YOUR PAYMENT TO A DEALER, CCF DOES NOT PROVIDE YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION TO THE DEALER.

When you submit an order for Product through the FuelSnap Marketplace, you are entering into a binding agreement to purchase the Product directly from the Dealer you selected in the quantity you specified, for the order price indicated in your order summary.

CCF will charge your credit card according to the order information and will forward information about your order to your selected Dealer. The Dealer will be responsible for delivering the Product to you and for sending to CCF information confirming delivery and specifying the actual amount of Product delivered.

You give us permission to pre-authorize a charge to your credit card based on your order information (“Pre-authorized Charge Amount”), which might be more than the amount to be charged based on an actual delivery (“Total Purchase Price”).

Once the Product is delivered, the Dealer will confirm the amount delivered and finalize the charge to your credit card at that time. In some cases, a Dealer may not update the final delivered amount right away. You authorize us to charge the Pre-Authorized Charge Amount to your credit card automatically if we do not receive the actual delivery details from the Dealer within five (5) days of your scheduled delivery date. When the Dealer confirms the actual delivery details, a refund for the difference between the Total Purchase Price and the amount charged to your credit card, if any, will be provided at that time. Please note that in the event that your tank does not have the capacity to take the requested number of gallons ordered, the price per gallon may be adjusted, at the Dealer’s discretion, to reflect a higher price per gallon tier, if applicable.


Delivery of the Products you purchase through the FuelSnap Marketplace is made by the Dealer and not CCF. You agree that CCF has no obligation to deliver any Product you purchase through the FuelSnap Marketplace. You agree that CCF may provide to the Dealer your street address, tank location, email address, name, and phone number for supplying to you the Product you purchase from the Dealer.


You are responsible for ensuring that your oil fill pipe is accessible to Dealers. We specify that our Dealers commit to completing delivery by the date specified in your order summary. However, in some circumstances, it may take longer to deliver your Product. Our Dealers will do their best to keep you informed as to the status of your order, to notify you of any significant delay, and to coordinate with you to resolve any delivery issues, but neither we nor our Dealers shall be responsible for the consequences of any delay.

Tank Inspection

In some cases, your selected Dealer may require a tank inspection for new customers. If this is the case, you will be informed of this at checkout, and the Dealer will contact you after you submit the order to arrange for the tank inspection. The tank inspection is a free visual safety check of your oil tank and oil line connection to assure a safe delivery. Someone over the age of 18 must be home for the inspection.

Changing or Cancelling Marketplace Orders

Once you have placed an order for a product in the Marketplace, the Dealer will handle all aspects of the order fulfillment. CCF will not change or cancel any order made by you, including any change to delivery address or billing information. You will need to contact the Dealer for any changes or cancellations that you wish to make to your order. The Dealer’s contact information may be found in the email sent to you confirming your order.

Changes to the Terms of Sale

We may, from time to time, change these FuelSnap Marketplace Terms. When such changes are made, we will post a copy of the new FuelSnap Marketplace Terms available to you on the Website.
